UX Writing and Content Snippets
Samples from two projects and a personal experiment in UX content
1. Artist's Store Front: Course details, plans and bio
Scenario
I landed a gig to spruce up an artist's online store—product cards, course plans, and bio. The task? Whip up words so engaging they’d practically coax credit cards out of wallets!
Strategy
The original copy was inconsistent in tone and detail, failing to engage the target audience—aspiring artists and creative professionals looking to enhance their skills. My hypothesis was that a more cohesive, engaging tone could significantly improve user's confidence in the course and boost enrollment.
I identified key issues such as vague titles, redundant phrase, and lack of hierarchy and engagement, which undermined the courses' perceived value—
Tone and Style
I decided on an enthusiastic, creative marketing tone to resonate with an audience that valued clarity and actionable insights. The goal was to make the courses feel both accessible and inspiring, encouraging users to take the plunge.
Content Clarity
I revamped the titles to ensure they clearly described the primary focus of each course. This involved eliminating redundant phrases and providing specific, enticing descriptions that highlighted the unique value of each offering.
Information Hierarchy
I prioritized key information to create a compelling and well-structured value proposition, making it easier for users to quickly grasp what each course offers.

Scenario
I led a comprehensive redesign of the interface copy and IA for a publication house’s guest contribution portal including a submission guide and form, and interactive management tools.
In response, I meticulously crafted the copy to simplify the editorial process, attract more contributors, and boost participation.
Strategy
The old submission instructions were clipped and unenthusiastic, leaving contributors uncertain and often leading to drop-offs.
